Pen pals

Following up the previous write up about pen pals.

Nowadays due to busy schedules, long working hours etc, nobody will like such tedious stuff.
With the modern technology eg email, msn, handphone sms and other means, who will actually have the time to sit down and write a letter.

Those days, my pen pals are all local. Few of them arrange to meet up after 1 letter or two. But like mentioned or my last posting, there were 3 that we maintianed our friendship through corresponding.

Back then, I enjoyed it a lot. If given a choice today, I still prefer writing. That definitely will strengthen our relationship. The written letter carried a lot of your feelings, thoughts that you like to share with your friend. Actually I also like to send out greeting cards for the important occasions like Chinese New Year. I feel great receiving such a card even with a few written words. The warmth is there, the closeness is there, the love or the care just made us feel good.

Well, though I am traditional, but modern world might not be able to accept the older stuff and thinkings.

So under not much of a choice, I learn to accept the current world. I will send the electronic birthday wishes, grettings via mobile, talk to the world using email, talking to a group by msn.

But to my close ones, I still believe a card with my own handwritten wishes will at all times bring the kinship, relationship or friendship closer. Don't you think so?
