A sad day

Today need to attend Yuva's school meet the parents' session cum campfire. So I applied one day's leave.

In the afternoon while tuning to my favourite station I heard a shocking news. MC King - one of our local comedian had passed away.

For the moment, I cannot take it for the news came too sudden. Always think that he is healthy person. But wat happen?

The initial news heard was he had breathing problems in the afternoon but unable to revive when sent to hospital.

So from 3 to nearly 8 pm, the DJs - Violet and Ian were only taking incoming calls and played songs. The whole atmosphere was just sad.

MC had a close relationship with 972 cos he had co-host with Renee before in the 10.00 am-2.00 pm slot. The combination was perfect and that segment had brought in a lot of audience. Just before the end of 2007 he had went on air for the last time with Renee in the evening. Guess Renee will be the saddest person, besides his next of kin, to hear such shocking news today.

I have know MC since the old days when he was at Radio heart 100.3 when he co-host with Desmond Lim. The duo had been a perfect combintion back then.

MC, original name being Jimmy Nah, was always a very happy go lucky person. His laughter is deep from his heart. No hidden feelings. He would always speak off his mind whether happy or angry. That is why I like him.

Well 4 Jan 08 is going to be a memorable day. Will be attending his wake tomorrow and send him off on sun. Hope he rest in peace and his family be brave to take this hardship.
